What was the highlight of hotel MONday Kyoto Karasuma Nijo
Good location, clean.
Great location, clean motel with helpful staff. However, if you have more than two adults, I would not recommend. The rooms are very small, no hanging space, no bench/desk to place items on. A tiny bench with jug and fridge. No water bottles, no tea/coffee in rooms (available in foyer) Towel linen was thin, pillows were so small I actually had to ask for another one. Don’t expect much value for money with breakfast. The price was more than $600 AUD per night! But close to station and convenience store. I could accept the space for two ppl, but then the cost is even higher per person. Overall, newish motel in a good location.

Bathroom layout was odd. With sink not in bathroom but in entrance way. Light in toilet only stayed on if you were moving frequently-

I would certainly return to this hotel!
Breakfast could have been more international. Preparation of food and temperature of food was unsatisfactory. Hot food needs to be in warming chafers. Eggs were cold, meat was cold and potatoes were undercooked and cold. Bread selection could be much more varied. Warm milk for coffee is always a plus. Cold milk drops temperature of coffee. A selection of cheeses and more fresh fruit would help.
Breakfast…everything else was great. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location is easily accessible by foot, subway and taxi, when necessary. Eco conservation a plus!!
